New BLU Mural in Jesi, Italy

Street Art // Monday, May 02, 2011
We just noticed on BLU's blog that the Italian muralist just completed a new piece in Jesi, in the northeast of Italy. BLU finished the piece over the Easter Holiday, which seems appropriate as BLU's character is represeting religion and messily slurping a plate of spaghetti on its head.

BLU and ERICAILCANE in Milan

Street Art // Friday, April 22, 2011
The Italians just do it better. Anytime BLU or Ericailcane do a wall it becomes news because they are talented duo leading the way in large-scale European mural work. The two just teamed up again for a piece in Milan called the "Skating Team" mural. More views after the jump . . .

Melbourne-born, LA-based Dabs Myla and Spanish-born, NYC-based How & Nosm have teamed up for another nice mural in Hollywood, California, this time with "Art In the Streets" exhibiting artist, RIME. All the artists styles shine through quite clearly, with solid contributions from each. More looks after the jump . . .

We showed you last week how we stumbled upon How & Nosm painting a large mural in downtown Los Angeles, but we couldn't make it over to watch Dabs Myla add their portion to the building-sized collaborative piece. Andrew Hosner of Thinkspace Gallery just sent us the completed piece, "Cream of the Crop," in pictures. More after the jump . . .

Street Art // Tuesday, April 12, 2011
We have been following the progress of LEE's mural at MOCA's Art In the Streets all weekend, and yesterday evening finally took a few shots of the beautiful progress that he has been in making. LEE, our April 2011 subscriber cover artist and featured in the magazine, has been painting the large facade outside of the Geffen with PUSH and RISK, at least when we took these pictures. More after the jump . . .

New El Mac x RETNA Mural in Los Angeles

Juxtapoz // Friday, March 11, 2011
Juxtapoz stopped by EL MAC and RETNA's new mural on 7th and Park View near downtown Los Angeles yesterday morning on an unseasonably warm day. We tried to catch RETNA and MAC in action, but it was better to sit and shoot some photos and cause the neighbors to stop and check out the mural as well. More views after the jump . . .

Blu x Ericailcane in Bologna, Italy

Street Art // Monday, February 28, 2011
We haven't seen much public work from Italian aritsts Blu or Ericailcane since both were in California in the early Fall 2010. Ericailcane was in San Francisco for a solo exhibition at FIFTY24SF, and Blu was in Los Angeles where that thing with the mural for MOCA happened. You may have heard the story. More after the jump . . .
