The good ones instantly stand out and Sam3’s murals are among our favorite. This wall was painted in Roma, Italy for the Outdoor Urban Festival. Simple symbolism and great execution using few colors.

Liqen’s contribution to Wall Therapy in Rochester, NY is a provocative black and white mural with strong line work. The image consists of an American eagle captured, guarded and under surveillance, likely a metaphor for American’s “freedoms.”

JR Begins New Wall in Brooklyn

M-City at Traffic Design Festival

M-City has brought another large-scale mural to the streets of Poland. This time around, the city of Gdynia, Poland hosts a wall for the artist to paint during the Traffic Design Festival. An above and below aquatic view with two matching ships can b seen in the artist unique rendering.

While in town setting up for their show at the ICA, the Brazilian duo, Os Gemeos, appropriately painted a mural or two around town. A larger one is being painted as we speak and we will have pictures when that’s completed, but this little one will have to tide you over until then.

Dal in New York

The Bowery in New York received a new addition to its ever-changing urban landscape from Chinese muralist, Dal. The artist painted what looks to be a lion/rhinoceros/numerous species mash up in his ribbon style method.
