An Update with Sever

Graffiti // Sunday, September 15, 2013
One of the cleanest and most precise artists painting the U.S. streets has to be Atlanta’s own Sever. Over the last few years, the artists has branched outside of lettering, gracing the ATL and beyond with a number of site-specific murals (You remember his controversial “Death of Street Art” mural in Detroit). The artists recently updated his site with some work created in Seoul, Korea and an excellent piece painted on the exterior of the Atlanta Prison Farm.

Chiseled from stone...

Graffiti // Tuesday, September 10, 2013
Ewok has the skillful ability to define letters like a spray sculpture. This piece looks as if it were chiseled from rock, then sanded down for a fine finish.

Nekst covers the Mocad in Detroit

Graffiti // Wednesday, September 04, 2013
Since 2007, two giant Amaze throw ups adorned the exterior of the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, until this week, when Nekst was remembered by the help of his friends with a giant straight letter and throw up. Now the buildings background is a blood red and massive chrome Nekst's greet all who pass by.

Nekst portrait by Askew in Detroit

Graffiti // Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Last weekend, New Zealand-based graffiti writer, Askew, opened his show “Entropy” at Inner State Gallery in Detroit. While in town, the artist painted a massive portrait of his fellow crewmember Nekst who left his mark all over Detroit before his unexpected passing. The wall presents Nekst holding a bottle of champagne and a large knife, with his large tag in blood red in the background.

Omens x Pose mashup

Graffiti // Wednesday, August 21, 2013
Take two pieces, dice them up and re-arrange them. Toa degree that is what happened on this wall with Pose and Omens.

An Update with Omens

Graffiti // Saturday, August 17, 2013
With arrows going ever which way and extra thin outlines on some chunky letters, Omens has painting some interesting pieces lately. Check out some of his newest work.

Sever in S.F.

Graffiti // Thursday, August 15, 2013
One of the cleanest painters in the spray game has to be Sever from Atlanta. His work is consistently extra polished and crisp.

Aroe and the Pink Panther

Graffiti // Sunday, July 21, 2013
Aroe does a great job at rendering The Pink Panther character in this newer piece, making him look mischievous with a spray can and a gold chain. Where is the clumsy Jacques Clouseau to investigate the scene?
