This past weekend at Comic-Con, our founder, Robert Williams, saw his long-overdue, and long in process documentary, Mr. Bitchin';, take home the honor of "Best Documentary at Comic-Con Int’l Independent Film Fest." A pretty great feat consider all the competition. Now, for all our friends in Southern California and beyond, you can see a special presentation of Mr Bitchin' at the famed Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on July 30, at 7:30pm. From Super Bowl Sunday to Modern Monday at the MoMA fans braved freezing temperatures, well, bypassed freezing temperatures, to duck into climate-controlled caves to watch their heroes. In my case it was the February 7th New York premiere of Mr. Bitchin which kicked off MoMA’s annual documentary month and the film series, All the Wrong Art: Juxtapoz Magazine on Film. Tonight, February 7th, at the Museum of Modern Art, All the Wrong Art: Juxtapoz Magazine on Film begins with the East Coast premiere of the Robert Williams documentary Mr Bitchin'. One of Juxtapoz' founders continues to have his film make the rounds for prestigious events. Jeffrey Deitch and the MOCA are showing Robert Williams' new documentary, Mr Bitchin, on January 16, 2011. The special presentation will also have a panel discussion with Mr. Williams, Mat Gleason, and other special guests.
