Balloon Canopy

Street Art // Thursday, August 04, 2011
Created for the 2010 Venice Biennale, a group of silver helium-filled mylar weather balloons are bound to the ground with green straps creating a canopy-like environment.  "When creating a temporary pavilion, various ideas regarding permanence, temporality, and interactivity can be employed to create a desired effect. Often, the architect of these lightweight structures fails to embrace the temporary nature inherently related to such projects."
