When you are moneyless you have to be creative in your endeavors to make ends meet. Its fitting Teo "Moneyless" Pirisi is drawn to the cycle where two ends meet to create infinite symmetry …the perfect circle. Art movements also move in cycles and artists often move within circles.

Moneyless @ Fame Festival 2012 http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/moneyless-fame-festival-2012 http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/moneyless-fame-festival-2012 Moneyless @ Fame Festival 2012
Last summer when we headed to Grottaglie, Italy for Fame Festival, one of the artists that stood out to us was Moneyless. His geometric, abstract murals and sculptures were both a surprise to see and hidden gems throughout the town. Of all the works around town, Moneyless made you think twice about function and its existence amogst the town. It looked seemless, but also mysterious. This year, Moneyless is back, and Fame has a nice video of his progress, as well as the making of his prints for Studiocromie.

Artists Moneyless and Mark Lyken have been collaborating on various projects creating paintings, sculptures, and interventions in and around Glasgow, Scotland. In these particular pieces, combining Lyken’s abstract cosmic style with Moneyless’s detailed line work creates what could be portals to other dimensions.

Combining similar simplistic styles to collaborate on a huge new mural for the Katowice Street Art Festival, Italian artists, Tellas and Moneyless, make a good team. The duo used monochromatic shapes and patterns with nice composition, to create a non-intrusive piece for the residents of Katowice, Poland.

Teo Pirisi, aka Moneyless, is an Italian artist with a penchant for bold geometric shapes and patterns, putting them to paper as well as taking them to the street. Pirisi especially enjoys exhibiting his work outdoors, exploring the spatial and transformative landscapes of places by using non-traditional industrial materials in his complex forms and figures.
