Juxtapoz // Wednesday, May 18, 2011
While we were watching the build-up on the ground at MOCA's "Art In the Streets" exhibition last month, we saw director Alex Stapleton hard at work, documenting the entire process with her film crew, all culminating in "Outside In: The Story of Art In the Streets" made in partnership with Levi's Film Workshop.

After Barry McGee, Steve Powers, and Todd James created the standout update of Street Market at MOCA's Art In the Streets exhibition, SF-based McGee created a commemorative poster for the event. And, as you can see, it deals with graffiti as a topic.

As part of their artist series of videos in conjunction with the Levi's Film Workshop at MOCA's Art In the Streets, Levi's just released their video with Swoon and Cat Solen, chronicling the amazing construction of Swoon's installation at the MOCA. Watch after the jump . . .

Obviously, the legendary names and artists of New York City were a big part of the story at MOCA's "Art In the Streets," with Futura, Martha Cooper, Blade, Henry Chalfant, Fab 5 Freddy, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, Crash, and Freedom having major spaces in the Geffen building, as well as younger talents that later emerged like Dash Snow. More after the jump . . .
