On September 8th, Working Class, a documentary by Jeffery Durkin investigating the lives of Mike Maxwell and Mike Giant, will premiere at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, San Diego. The film is loosely inspired by Charles Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities.

Last weekend, Juxtapoz celebrated the annual San Francisco Outside Lands Festival and curated the art portion of the event. Mike Shine, Monica Canilao, Skinner, Jeremy Fish, Tifffany Bozic, Mike Giant, and others all created work for the event, with Shine and Canilao building full, immersive installations and performance pieces. Yet another example of how the Internet can disappoint. Mike Giant has paid his dues and been in the game for more than a few seasons, that’s pointing out the obvious. So I was taken off guard when Mike posted this video discussing a topic that does not deserved to be publicized and giving it more unneeded attention.

If there is anyone who knows how to use a Sharpie, it is San Francisco based artist, Mike Giant. His works have always been marked but complete control of use with a black Sharpie. Now, Giant has his own series of Sharpies.

Artist and all around creative Mike Giant just put out a short about the iconic Mission District in San Francisco. The Mission District in SF has long been associated with Mexican heritage, but over the past few decades has becoming a meeting place and breeding ground for the city's artists and musicians.
