Well, its been awhile, and after some delays and about 3.5 years of waiting, Mark Ryden is set to open a new exhibition, "The Gay 90's: West" at Michael Kohn Gallery in Los Angeles on May 3, 2014. Mostly we want you to schedule a visit to see the show because a) we have seen some behind the scenes looks at the show and can say its worth your damn time, and 2) Michael Kohn is opening a brand spanking new space that is glorious and spacious and worthy of a visit. And yes we just went a)-2) on you.

We recently stopped by Michael Kohn Projects inaugural exhibition a collection of recent paintings by artist Marion Peck. This special project space, which is located within blocks of the Michael Kohn Gallery, features eleven new works that highlight the artist’s talent for meticulously painted narrative imagery. This particular body of work explores solitary animal figures placed in various situations and often anthropomorphized to reflect human emotion and mental states. Photos and more after the jump…

Next Saturday, March 30, Marion Peck will open a new body of work, Animals, at Michael Kohn Projects in Los Angeles. The show will be held at Kohn's new space at 7270 Beverly Blvd, and we can't wait to see what Peck will be showing in her new body of work. We can prophesize that yes, there will be animals in there somewhere.

Los Angeles' Michael Kohn Gallery will be presenting both an exhibition and book signing of watercolor paintings by Camille Rose Garcia featured in the illustrated version of the Grimm Brothers' Snow White. (We just received a copy of the book in our office, great works). The exhibition will open on March 15, with a book signing on the same night.
