Miami, Florida is a very special place. Don't get me wrong, its an amazing sun-tanned, daisy-duked, rollerblade party nearly 365 days a year and I love it. If it wasn't for cities like Miami, things like the sweet and sexual painted Ice Cream Girls wouldn't exist. So, God Bless Miami, America. x

Miami-based artist Augusto Esquivel created this piano sculpture with carefully hung string and hundreds if not thousands of sewing buttons. To be exact, there is over 45lbs of sewing buttons in this piano sculpture.

We stopped by the Scope Art Fair yesterday evening in Miami to check out what White Walls, New Image Art, Corey Heford Gallery, Jonathan LeVine Gallery, Sloan Fine Art, and Kenton Parker's Taco Shop were looking like. Peter Gronquist's buck with guns at the White Walls booth was a showstopper.

We just walked by the building that will house NYC legend, Cope2's Rise To The Occasion that opens tonight, December 1, in the Wynwood District at Art Basel, Miami. Rise is a solo exhibition of new original mixed-media paintings and giclée prints by New York City-based artist. We will have more from the exhibition tomorrow...

One of the highlights of Art Basel Miami (and we can't wait to see it tomorrow) is the Ukranian duo, Interesni Kazki's mural for Wynwood Walls. The mural, Flora of Ukraine, is a playful, metaphorical, and detailed piece that will definitely gain new audiences at Basel.

During MOCA's Art In the Streets, the Neckface x Isaiah Seret collaborative film, Born Under a Bad Sign, was teased during the Levi's Film Workshop. The film is now set to world premiere at Art Basel in Miami this week, featuring a music performance by art-house noise band, Salem.
