Yes, it was a quick month (no Leap Year here), and we are here again to announce another new issue of Juxtapoz. In our April 2013 issue, we are proud to feature legendary fine artist Ralph Steadman and his longtime collaborations with friend Hunter S. Thompson. With contributions from former Rolling Stone editor, Ben Fong-Torres, X-Files creator Chris Carter, and Jux writer Nathan Spoor, we are proud to help usher in a year of celebrating one of the most iconic artists of our times, Mr Ralph Steadman.

Victor Castillo’s latest solo exhibition opened this past weekend at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles. The exhibition featured 15 paintings on canvas, 10 paintings on paper, 20 graphite drawings on vellum, and an installation of fiberglass sculptures. Photos and more after the jump.

As you will soon see in our March 2013 issue, we have a great 12-page feature with Los Angeles-based Victor Castillo. We like to call this perfect timing; Saturday, February 2, Castillo will open Under Heavy Measures at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles. This past weekend we stopped by the opening reception for Mercedes Helnwein’s latest solo exhibition, Make It Dark, at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles.
