In late 2014, there was a Duck show curated by the great Chircago artist Ryan Travis Christian. Now, that Duck show has evolved into DUCKS! and is opening tonight (March 27) at our friend Louis Schmidt's new LA space, Minotaur Projects. There will be ducks painted by Jason Jagel, Richard Colman, Nat Russell, Mel Kadel, Paul Wackers, Ryan Travis Christian, Brian Willmont, Allison Schulnik, and so many more we can't even name them.

Juxtapoz Magazine, Encinitas, California-based shop UNIV and San Francisco-based Chandran Gallery have teamed for a special auction and exhibition benefit for Waves For Water, an organization on the ground in the Philippines, mobilizing an urgent clean water disaster relief initiative in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan. From March 18—31st, a special curated selection of hand-painted surfboards will be available at auction on Paddle8. Artists who participated include Geoff McFetridge, CR Stecyk III, Tim Biskup, Lucy McLauchlan, Andrew Schoultz and more.

Perhaps you followed our Instagram feed during the week of Art Basel 2013, but you may have saw our collaborative surfboard project with Encinitas, California-based shop UNIV and San Francisco-based Chandran Gallery. This past weekend, the Juxtapoz sponsored What Are You Doing To Participate group zine / art show opened in Los Angeles. The show is curated and organized by Sam James Velde, Rich Jacobs and Adam Rossiter and features zines and prints spanning music, skateboarding and art culture from the 1980's til present. The show will be on display at The Dilettante through January 7, 2013. Today, we have the opening photos.
