David Bowie Is... has to be one of the greatest exhibition names ever. Obviously, it compels you to try and understand what exactly David Bowie is: performance artist, musician, actor, fashion icon, producer, collaborator, and an undeniable pioneering creative. David Bowie is a quintessential avant-garde populist, where theatrics and the concept of the alter-ego are elemental to performance in a myriad of genres in contemporary culture.

This summer, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents the London-based artist Yinka Shonibare MBE, the next artist for the annual plaza series. Shonibare’s installation premieres three sculptures from his new Wind Series. Roughly twenty feet high, each monumental sculpture captures the movement of a billowing bolt of fabric, with designs inspired by the sails of ships, and patterns derived from Dutch wax fabric, or “African” batik...

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago just opened an exhibition of extreme interest to us in New Chicago Comics, featuring the works of cartoonists and animators Jeffrey Brown, Lilli Carré, Paul Hornschemeier, and Anders Nilsen.
