Mattias describes himself as a "freelancing compulsory drawer"  and he specializes in intricately rendered machinery, high tech analog inventions, animals, dogs mowing the lawn and working class pigs...

It is no secret, we love the illustrative works of Swedish artist, Mattias Adolfsson. And, again, no secret that one of our favorite past times is looking in the Moleskines of our favorite illustrators, because, sometimes, that is where the real pirate's treasure lies. For Adolfsson, this is no exception. 

Mattias Adolfsson Flips Through His Sketchbook

      Swedish illustrator Mattias Adolfsson has uploaded a nice series of youtube videos in which he flips through his completed Moleskine sketchbooks. Adolfsson's use of video brings the traditional sketchbook scan format to life, offering a sense of tactility and scale. He lives in Sigtuna, just outside of Stockholm, and has worked on everything from computer games to children's books.
