We kick off another month with a look at our new April 2014 issue, featuring the bright, playful works of Philadelphia's Andy Rementer. Rementer has done great work for magazines we like such as the New Yorker and Apartamento in the past, and we are very excited to have his work on the cover of our April issue.

When researching Mary Blair for our May issue we immediately recognized a kindred spirit in Juxtapoz’s August 2012 feature painter Cathie Bleck who shares a magical realism with the natural world expressed in fluid lines. Cathie shares an early remembrance of the artist who will be featured at the Walt Disney Family Museum’s celebration of Camille Rose Garcia who also cites the influence of Mary Blair. The exhibition opens on Thursday, May 9th.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to present the exhibition Camille Rose Garcia: Down the Rabbit Hole. On view from May 9 to November 3, 2013, the exhibition features some 40 works by Garcia alongside ten Alice in Wonderland concept paintings by Disney artist Mary Blair from the Museum’s collection. Organized by guest curator Tere Romo, the exhibition celebrates not only Garcia and Blair’s artistry across decades and artistic styles, but also the power of art to draw us into magical worlds that spark engagement and inspiration.
