During the 1970s and ‘80s, artist Martin Wong resided in the Lower East Side of New York and was a strong supporter of many pioneers of the New York City graffiti. Wong’s advocacy for the subculture resulted in an expansive collection of some of the most famed and influential artists of the time such as Keith Haring, Dondi, Rammellzee, Zephyr, Daze, Lady Pink, Lee, Futura and Sharp.
