We recently stopped by LeBasse Projects for their newest exhibition, LA Mixtape. LA MiXTAPE documents the effect of music on the process of creation, asking each participating artist to create a piece titled after a song, artist, or band that has inspired or influenced his/her creative process.

Cute, disturbing, and masterful all at once, LA-based artist Mark Ryden's work could be described as both kitsch and fine art. Beautiful and elusive, Ryden's work fully embraces the mysteries of the soul and the dark underbelly of innocence.
