Our December 2011 issue has arrived in our webstore, and we are giving you a preview of what we have inside. As you know by now, Mark Ryden is the cover artist, and his interview is followed by features on Mexican surrealists Pedro Friedeberg, Vienna-based illustrator Moussa Kone, graffiti artist Read More Books, NYC's Geoffrey Chadsey, fine artist Sarah Cain, and photographer Chase Jarvis.

We just got a little package in the mail today; our new December 2011 issue. Number 131 if you are counting at home. The cover; Mark Ryden, with a special cover story done in conjunction with Ryden's Taschen monograph and new body of work that will premiere in early 2012.

As we announced on the site last week, our November 2011 issue was specially curated by a true icon, Pushead. This is the second time we have given Pushead the curatorial duties, and he selected Aaron Horkey to create an exclusive cover image for the November issue.

Every few years, we like to get together with the legendary Pushead and let him take over an issue of Juxtapoz. This year, our November 2011 issue is curated by Pushead, featuring an exclusive colored cover and feature with Aaron Horkey. Pushead also gathers Ashley Wood, Aryz, Lango, C215, Astro, Danijel Zezelj, Phil Frost, and others for November. Exclusive looks after the jump . . .

Jeremy Fish's special cover for the Juxtapoz October 2011 issue is on newsstands now, featuring a special type created for the title bar. As we mentioned on the site earlier this month, the issue features Jeremy Fish, Mario Wagner, Dabs Myla, Steven Harrington, Sarah Cain, Ed Moses, Brandon Chuesy, and Robert Williams.

We didn't want to be about politics today, because we know so many sites will put 9/11 into context eloquently and appropriately, but thinking about the 10th anniversary of the day we now just know as 9/11, we wanted to pay our respects with our Juxtapoz #38 cover, published in the Spring of 2002, published with the headline, Art in the Aftermath.

Jeremy Fish, who last graced our magazine cover in December 2006, is back with a special cover and type treatment made for Juxtapoz' October 2011 issue. Jeremy's portrait is also a special edition, stopping traffic in one of the busiest intersections in San Francisco so his lounge chair could be rolled to Columbus and Broadway.
