“Atlántico” is a dual show by Edgar Flores (Saner) and Javier Iglesias (Gnosick) at Swinton Gallery in Madrid. The show presents works by both artists by themselves and nine pieces in collaboration too. A special occasion that Swinton Gallery is pleased to show. Besides the indoor show, both artists have painted a mural in collaboration for Swinton Gallery’s “Mind the Wall” Project to celebrate their magnificent encounter. “Atlántico” represents the reunion of two brothers separated and linked by an ocean.

Galería Javier López in Madrid is about to open what looks like an epic group show, "Knock Knock," that basically runs the entire roster of every fantastic comic-book inspired artist we have ever covered. From Charles Burns to Daniel Clowes, Erik Parker and REAS, Gary Panter and Kaws, Keiichi Tanaami to Ed Templeton, Nara and Faile, this looks to be one of the absolute standout exhibitions of the summer.

KAWS had a pretty amazing year in 2013, and the Brooklyn artist is right back at it in 2014 with "Play Your Part," an exhibition at Madrid's Galeria Javier Lopez. We have long been fans of the program at Javier Lopez, with Todd James, Kaws, Jenny Holzer, and Leo Villareal on the roster, and love how KAWS' work looks in the sparse space. If you are in Spain through April 23, go check it out.

A few weeks back, we mentioned that NYC's Todd "REAS" James was going to open a new exhibition, Business As Usual, at Galeria Javier Lopez in Madrid, Spain. Well, that show opened. And then we didn't show you the art. And then we saw the art. And then we saw the art in context of the space. And then we thought, wow, that is beautiful. And now we share with you...

Rocío Cañero's artwork is nasty-slick-amazing and we love it. Born and raised in Madrid, Cañero grew up around graffiti, skateboarding and crews, and her artistic career actually began in photography. It's not hard to see how the urban street aesthetic has influenced her work.

SelgasCano Arquitectos, a Madrid-based Architecture firm, designed this very serene looking office space under the trees. The transparent half of the structure is covered with a bent sheet of Plexiglas. The opposite side is closed-in with translucent fiberglass and polyester to allow for the shadows of the trees to project through the surface.
