Paradise Row is pleased to present Sticks & Drones, the solo UK debut and exhibition of new work by Los Angeles-based artist Eric Yahnker. If you remember, Mr Yahnker was the cover of Juxtapoz in May 2011, the one with the slice of pizza on a bed of garland. It was one of our favorite covers ever, and Yahnker continues to be one of the most clever artists working today.

May 2014 at StolenSpace brings an exhibitions of works by revered female street artists, and longtime Juxtapoz stalwarts Miss Van and Olek. The exhibition will divide the gallery into two spaces: In Gallery 1, Miss Van will exhibit a new body of work titled 'Glamorous Darkness'. In Gallery 2, Olek will exhibit never-before-seen photographic works and installation, 'Let's not get caught, let's keep going'. Having previously collaborated on public artworks, and exhibited together in many group shows across the world, StolenSpace is proud to bring these artists together to produce their first two-person show.

Remed & Okuda @ Festival of Spain, London

Our friend Butterfly headed down to Southbank Centre in London this past weekend for the Festival of Spain and documented a public, live painting piece between Jux friend Remed and Okuda. They were given a glass box to paint as thousands of people streamed along the River Thames and enjoyed the festivities.

London artist Mark Powell cleverly re-purposes old, used, and often tattered ephemera. Using cancelled envelopes, maps, and other found items as his canvases, he produces striking, life-like, and inked drawings. His sketches are made using only a Bic Biro pen, often incorporating the original stamps, logos, and addresses.

KK Outlet in London will be opening an exhibition of new work by artist Von on May 2, 2014. "Elsewhere," is a collection of delicately beautiful drawings based on photographs shot by Dan sully. Each portrait in the collection explores those fleeting moments where we involuntarily slip under and away from all of our surroundings, appearing to others absent and completely elsewhere...

Pick Me Up 2014 @ Somerset House, London

It seems about right. We noticed on April 2014 cover artist Andy Rementer's Instagram that he did a t-shirt for DC Shoes and Pick Me Up 2014, one of the best if not THE BEST graphic arts festivals in the world. And what seems right about it is that we learned about Rementer's work at the festival a few years back. Pick Me Up is held annually at the Somerset House in London, and basically get the right people together to show the right kind of graphic and illustrative and design arts.
