One of our favorite contemporary artists, Vhils, just opened a new exhibition, Devoid, at Lazarides' Rathbone space in London. The work focuses on the "individual in relation to the overpowering force of urban environments. Working with the city as the prime material, Vhils has used what the urban environment offers in its most derelict spaces as both a location and as a source for materials from wood scraps to rusty metal, discarded billboards and other debris produced by its inhabitants."

All Visual Arts are proud to present a major solo exhibition from sculptor Kate MccGwire. The title Lure is a dual reference to the ring of feathers used by a falconer to call and command their birds, and to the siren-like call of the work itself. It evokes the combination of our fascination with the iridescent, exotic specimens on display and the desire to look closer in spite of the disquieting atmosphere they create. The exhibition opens November 23, 2012 in London.

London-based Jenni Sparks grew up in a somewhat tacky seaside town, and looking back now, sees all the inspiration she drew from that kind of environment - from dinky arcade machines to the general public's hatred for seagulls to saveloys (the English equivalent of a hotdog). Jenni's fierce love for hand-drawn type is evident, and her textually based illustrations are bold, whimsical and full of pop culture references.

Dale Grimshaw is a dynamic artist calling on powerful emotions and strongly held belief to fuel his creative output. This tumultuous energy has produced a marvelous series of paintings over the past five years - works that have often been highly personal, but because of their directness and honesty, have succeeded in resonating with very many people.
