Thinkspace is pleased to present Curioso a group exhibition featuring new work by gallery artists Jeremy Hush, Lindsey Carr, and Frank Gonzales. These artists’ respective, and unmistakably distinct, practices explore contemporary representations of the natural and animal worlds. Their imagery is derived uniquely, relying on a combination of observation, historical 19th century natural history and botanical references, and their personal experiences of nature drawn in sharp relief against their immersion in the urban. 

Much like the studies of the classical bird illustrations of Audobon, Lindsey Carr's impressive portrolio reaches an almost scientific level of skill and expertise. Carr is an artist living and working on the south west coast of Scotland.

This September Thinkspace will host the debut U.S. solo show, Homage to Canton, from Scotland based artist Lindsey Carr. The show will be based around Canton, the old trading port in China where various flora and fauna were brought, traded ahd studied by merchants from around the world.
