As we wrote last week, we were fortunate enough to catch some early glimpses of Levi's Presents "Outside In: The Story of Art In the Streets," Alex Stapleton's documentary on the MOCA's "Art In the Streets" exhibition. The film premieres tonight, May 24, in Los Angeles at 7PM at the Egyptian Theatre.

While we were watching the build-up on the ground at MOCA's "Art In the Streets" exhibition last month, we saw director Alex Stapleton hard at work, documenting the entire process with her film crew, all culminating in "Outside In: The Story of Art In the Streets" made in partnership with Levi's Film Workshop.

For Juxtapoz, seeing Kenny Scharf's inclusion (an obvious inclusion) in MOCA's "Art In the Streets" exhibition was especially exciting. Mr. Scharf, gracing the cover of just our 7th issue (the Summer 1996 issue, to be exact), was the first "street artist" to ever be on the cover of our magazine.

Tonight, Wednesday April 27, at the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, Levi's Film Workshop at MOCA will present, "Skate Video Night," with noted photographer and producer Patrick O’Dell (Epicly Later’d) presenting a special compilation of seminal skateboard videos from the 1980s to today. . .

As part of their artist series of videos in conjunction with the Levi's Film Workshop at MOCA's Art In the Streets, Levi's just released their video with Swoon and Cat Solen, chronicling the amazing construction of Swoon's installation at the MOCA. Watch after the jump . . .

To coincide with Levi's Film Workshop inside the Geffen Contemporary where the Art In the Streets exhibition is taken place, Levi's has collaborated with artists in the show to create limited-edition artist designed Trucker Jackets. The series will feature Andre, Chaz Bojorquez, CRASH, Keith Haring, KR, Neckface, Lady Pink, REVOK, Kenny Scharf and Shepard Fairey. More after the jump . . .
