Leigh Wells' collages fragment bodies, rocks, landscapes, and space appropriating them on two-dimensional surfaces in compositional arrangements of flat color, found imagery, and basic geometry. Bodily forms are broken and cropped in monochrome, balancing somewhere between flesh and hard inanimate matter. Mountain ranges are cut and rotated as forms outside of their original embedment in the landscape.
