This September 19, 2014, Lazarides Rathbone presents Marking Shadows, Lucy McLauchlan's third solo exhibition with the gallery. After spending a significant amount of time amid the greener sides of Birmingham the expressive artist has developed her approach and intervention with the natural world, resulting in a unique showcase of abstract naturalistic canvases alongside an organic installation display.

Icelandic abstract painter Katrin Fridriks returns to Lazarides Rathbone this summer with her first London solo exhibition, Flying Awareness. Inspired by the artist's remote native land and a continuation of her experimental use of color and liquid painterly movement, the new body of work follows Fridriks acclaimed participation in Lazarides' 2013 group shows, BRUTAL and Fresh Paint.

You may have seen that 2x Juxtapoz cover aritst, London-based Conor Harrington, has a wonderful piece of art in "Art Truancy: Celebrating 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine" at Jonathan LeVine Gallery through June 14, 2014. You may also have seen on Conor's Instagram that he is prepping a new body of work, "Eat and Delete," for a special off-site Lazarides showing in NYC this Fall. The Laz team visited Conor in the studio recently, and noted, "will showcase 10-12 distinctive new large-scale canvases in continuation of the themes first explored in his 2012's Dead Meat."

Lazarides Rathbone welcomes Valencia-based siblings, Miaz Brothers, to the gallery this May with their long-awaited solo exhibition, Dematerialized: A New Contemporary Vision. The duo will be launching their London debut through June 15, 2014, with a comprehensive body of new and recent large-scale works in their distinctive air-brushed style created through the meticulous layering of spraypaint on canvas.

Look who is back in London. French artist JR, past Juxtapoz cover artist. TED Award winner, and international superstar of positive and stimulating Public Art projects, will show once again with Lazarides Gallery with Actions. JR will partner with Lazarides for a large-scale exhibition filling two floors of their flagship gallery on Rathbone Place as well as an outdoor public installation on multiple sites across the nationʼs capital. And by nation's capital we mean the one that is not shut down. Across the pond.

Lazarides Rathbone welcomes Brooklyn based artist Oliver Jeffers for his first London exhibition, Nothing To See Here. This September Jeffers will present a new series of works, which both question and observe modern life and its many conundrums. Referencing familiar 18th and 19th century European landscape and still-life painting, the artist investigates, via themes of censorship and ignorance, the notion that knowledge is power.

This August, Tel Aviv-based artist Know Hope makes his solo debut at Lazarides Rathbone with a new exhibition, The Abstract and The Very Real. Addressing the human condition and its collective social existence through a series of unique works and a site-specific installation, the exhibition questions the ubiquitous notion of the "abstract and the very real", the weight and burden of which though universally apparent is often unidentifiable to most.
