Kofie’s newest show “Gather” opened a few weeks back at the Lovell Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa and while in town a collaboration mural was painted with local artist, Paul Senyoln.

Los Angeles-based draftsman, Kofie, recently completed this exceptionally large mural entitled "Futurino" for the Picturin Torino Festival in Turin, Italy. Kofie’s strong line work and geometrical shapes blends naturally into the architectural landscape. Definitely one of the biggest mural we have seen him paint yet.

2 new Kofie murals in Sante Fe, New Mexico

Two new Kofie pieces were recently painted in Sante Fe, New Mexico for The Hour Has Arrived event. With the intent to promote, recognize and preserve the craft of the Indians, the press realease explains, “There has been a lack of focus and attention on new mediums employed by Native artists, some of whom are at the forefront of the Public Art Movement.”

Last month, Los Angeles-based draftsman, Kofie, participated in the “Step in the Arena” event that was held in Eindhoven, Netherlands.  Curated by Chas of LoveLetters crew, over 250 local and international graffiti artists came through to display their talents. Kofie collaborated with various artists on a number of murals, painting his distinct geometrical lines and forms associated with his style, instantly recognizable.

Montana Colors limited Edition Artists Series T-shirts

Next month, Montana Colors will be expanding their products by releasing four new Limited Edition Artists Series t-shirts.  For their artist series line, they have reached out to Los Angeles graffiti writers, Kofie and Axis, who both illustrated a t-shirt design in their own signature styles.

It’s been a while since we heard new news from Los Angeles-based draftsman, Kofie.  He recently completed two new paintings for separate group shows, one is currently up at Known Gallery with a Sesame Street theme and the other will be at Crewest Gallery opening this weekend.  This new work is dense with lines, composition, and fantastic layering techniques, a refined artist in his craft.

We checked in with Kofie a few weeks ago after he completed a new mural with El Mac in LA, and now we have a preview of his newest solo show at White Walls in San Francisco.
