The Lower East Side’s Woodward Gallery will open Kenji Nakayama’s first New York solo exhibition by the Japanese Boston-based artist, simply titled “Kenji Nakayama.” This widely anticipated exhibit of new works will be the most extensive showing of his art to date, featuring photorealistic, hand-cut stencil, spray enamel, acrylic, and mixed media paintings.

Kenji Nakayama is profiled in our January 2011 issue, and the piece we featured in the magazine sits outside the Woodward Gallery Project Space in NYC. The piece was up from October through December, but our guess is that you may still be able to see across from Woodward Gallery right now.
