One of the great Japanese pop and psychedelic artists of the postwar era, we love the mind of Keiichi Tanaami. The artist has worked in graphic design, fine art, poster art, and video, but it is these paintings that have us excited to share with you this morning. 

Keiichi Tanaami, born in 1936 in Tokyo, is one of the leading pop artists of postwar Japan, and has been active as multi-genre artist since the ‘60s as a graphic designer, illustrator, video artist and fine artist. At the height of psychedelic culture and pop art, Tanaami’s kitschy, colorful illustrations and design work received high acclaim in both Japan and abroad.
