Let's face it. Chances are you didin't make it to Tokyo for the opening of KAWS' new exhibition, Ohhh..., at Murakami's Kaikai Kiki space. It opened tonight, but in Tokyo time, that means its already open. So, if you didn't make it, we have a little into some of the works that are on exhibit, and as you can see, they are some of the cleanest, bold acrylic works you will ever see. 

KAWS just unveiled his fantastic 16-foot Companion (Passing Through) sculpture at the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Not only will the sculpture be on display from now until May 14th, KAWS' work will then be on display starting in October of 2013 at PAFA (Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts). We wish we could check it out! 

NYC's KAWS, an artist with one of the cleanest line styles in the world, will be opening a new exhibition, Ohhh... at Tokyo's KaiKai Kiki Gallery from May 2—29, 2013. Just like we have seen in the past few bits of KAWS news, whether at a Thanksgiving Parade or a gigantic companion piece outside his exhibition at Galerie Perrotin in Paris, this will have a highlight.

  Following KAWS' release of his color interpretation of the iconic manga robot last year, he has collaborated with OriginalFake in the release of this Astro Boy Companion in Grey. The figure honors the Osamu Tezuka-created character's original appearance. The Companion will be released at KAWSONE on March 16th.

Housing some of the most established galleries in the world (Lisson, Gagosian, Marlborough to name a few), we tried to make our experience the same as we do each year. Just get lost in it all...

Cult-followed and fashion staple Supreme has been in the news quite a bit in the past week, first with a huge spread in the NY Times, and now they will have a skate deck retrospective exhibition at the 032c Workshop in Berlin opening Saturday, December 1. The deck collaboration series for Supreme has seen some of the biggest names in contemporary art stop in for a few deck designs: Damien Hirst, George Condo, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, KAWS, Marilyn Minter, and Futura, to name a few.

The 86th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade along New York’s Central Park goes down tomorrow, meaning plenty of massive balloon characters, custom floats, marching bands, and all things visually and musically loud. This will be the first time since Keith Haring that an artist who began his career in graffiti has contributed to the parade. Brian Donnelly aka Kaws, will have his signature character “Companion” floating high above in the balloon line-up, a unique opportunity for any artist.

Kaws who has gone on to become an accomplished artist and businessman in a number of platforms, was also recently invited to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade with his own signature balloon. To see the cars in person head on down to Grand Central Station or Times Square and catch the S train. You won’t miss it!

This weekend in Paris at Galerie Perrotin, NYC-based artist KAWS opened a new exhibition, Imaginary Friends, to massive international attention. Juxtapoz contributor made it to the opening, which featured some of the iconic KAWS pieces, and a very large, weeping Companion piece outside the gallery.
