George Condo has now been collaborating with celebrated hip-hop and pop star Kanye West for a few years now, and it looks like the fine artist has just completed the cover for West's "Thera Flu" single. The piece is unmistakenably Mr. Condo.

This Thursday, June 18, George Condo has a new show opening featuring a collection of etchings at Jack Rutberg Fine Arts in Los Angeles. Condo has been in the press over the past 12 months with the album cover work for Kanye West and the major retrospective at the New Museum in NYC.

This is a two-way street of good decisions: the Museum of Modern Art and Kanye West have teamed up for pop-superstar Mr. West to play perform at their annual Party in the Garden benefit taking place on May 10, 2011 in the MoMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.

A lot of people are bummed that Coachella sold out and they can't see Kanye, Lauryn Hill, and Kings of Leon (er, maybe not) at this year's festival. But Coachella is pushing their Coachella Conversations, and we enjoyed hearing the conversing of 2x Coachella artist DJ Z-Trip (friend of Juxtapoz and DJ of our Seventh Letter Issue release party) and Shepard Fairey. The year 2010 was generous, at least commercially, for George Condo. The 5 album covers he created for Mr. Kanye West were extraordinary both in content and controversy, and after eyeing Condo's work for quite some time, we were thrilled to hear about his "Mental States" retrospective on display at New Museum in Manhattan starting next Wednesday, January 26.
