Kako Ueda's Paper Illustrations

Illustration // Tuesday, October 11, 2011
Kako Ueda creates incredibly intricate and beautiful artworks from cut paper. They are not so much 'illustrations' though the product of her delicate paper works can be described as 'illustrative' in the simplicity and beauty of her line. She is interested in organic beings-- insects, animals, and human bodies. Her work reveals how these natural beings are constantly influenced and modified by culture.
