Our colleagues at Juxtapoz Latin America recently visited and shot a video with 2x Juxtapoz cover artist Ron English at his studio and home in Beacon, New York! Ron will be opening a new exhibition tomorrow, October 26th, 2013 at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, CA titled Popagandastan. Watch the video and see a preview after the jump!

Earlier this year, we published a new book in our ongoing series, New Contemporary, that focuses on painters that both define and help evolve our coverage of painting through our 20 years of publishing. One of the artists that we were most proud to showcase was Scott Greenwalt, an Oakland, California based artist that combines both the natural and the metaphysical, creating a new brand of psychedelic arts with originality and amazing painting chops. We stopped by his studio to get a better glimpse at his work ethic, his plants, and his neighbors.

We have shown you a bunch of footage from our time and curation at the 2013 Outside Lands Music & Art Festival held in San Francisco in early August, but today we have a more things to showcase. One, contributing photographer Chloe Rice took a bunch of beautiful photos of the various sights, styles, and artists working at the festival with the Juxtapoz team. Friday, July 12, 2013, the Monterey Museum of Art in Monterey California will be opening a special exhibition and installation from San Francisco-based, and March 2012 cover artist, Andrew Schoultz. Juxtapoz spent a few days with Mr. Schoultz on the Monterey peninsula as he prepared his site-specific mural, a multi-storied piece that takes into account the various nautical and town histories of the famed fishing city south of SF. The Juxtapoz June 2013 issue, a visual history of the Beastie Boys and tribute to MCA, is now officially on newsstands. As we compiled the issue, our contributing editor Joey Garfield put together a short clip from his interviews featuring some of the artists who contributed to the visual identity of the band. This is the history of the Beastie Boys, in their voices, from Bruce Davidson to Cey Adams, Glen E Friedman to Ricky Powell.

Jonathan LeVine Gallery invited our colleagues at Juxtapoz Latin America to have a close talk with the street artist WK Interact in the pop-up space they created to celebrate the artist’s 25 years retrospective. The exhibition 360, held an extensive collection of objects, photographs, installation and canvases.

To celebrate Juxtapoz' special project in Detroit with Matthew Barney, Lance Mountain, Power House, and the Ride It Sculpture Park, Juxtapoz is excited to announce a limited edition Barney x Mountain (shot by our wonderful photographer, Joe Brook) cover circulating on newsstands across the world. There are only 1,000, so good luck on the search. We also invited filmmakers Eric Carlsen and Chris Rosik to shoot a documentary on Mountain's time in Detroit, which is what you get to see here, today.

This past Spring, Mexico City hosted All City Canvas, one of the premier urban art festivals that has occurred over the past 12 months. With leading artists such as El Mac, Escif, Roa, Vhils, Interesni Kazki, Saner, Sego and others, ACC took historical districts and buildings in Mexico City and transformed them into beautiful mural displays that resonated throughout the world. Today, we show you the premiere documentary, All City Canvas: The Short Film.
