It is the weekend, and you probably don't want to read too much, so let's just watch a little Internet TV; JR, the 2011 TED Award winner, has just launched the first episode documenting his Inside Out Project, which aims to be the biggest community art project in the world.

We saw a few JR pieces pop up in NYC last week, and were waiting to confirm the project. Turns out the French artist has brought his Inside Out / Native American Project to NYC, the project where digitally uploaded images will be made into posters and sent back to the project’s co-creators for them to exhibit in their own community.

When you're hot, and the world is watching, the drive should be stronger than ever. That is what JR is proving, as he continues to show and work across the world in various capacities. Currently, the 2011 TED Award-winner has an interactive exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France, for his Inside-Out Project.

The amount of energy that JR has alone is inspirational. He just sees to be moving at a different pace at the moment, seizing the opportunity that the TED Award has afforded him and letting his unique interpretation of art and the world be seen as much as possible. We admire him for that. He has now taken his INSIDE/OUT Project to Tunisia. More after the jump . . .

We all know that French street artist, JR, won the 2011 TED Award, but we hadn't heard his TED2011 Talk accepting and pledging with the award. JR's simple, ambitious TED Prize wish: to use art to turn the world inside out. A great speech after the jump . . .

"INSIDE OUT is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. Everyone is challenged to use black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world." This is a collaborative project between JR, the TED prize, and we, the world. Video interiew after the jump . . .

By the time you see this, JR will have done more walls in Los Angeles, but this will get you to seek those out. As he continues to perform his "Wrinkles of the City" project throughout LA, the TED Award-winner is creating a bit of a buzz in the SoCal art's community. More after the jump . . .

We ponder: Does anyone think that Lebron James took time out of his busy All-Star Weekend activities to watch JR put up some massive mural pieces? Both JR and LBJ were in downtown Los Angeles working on their respective projects, so the thought may have crossed the NBA guy's mind. We digress. Time to get serious.
