We will start this post off with the fact that we really, really like this work. We like former cover artist Geoff McFetridge quite a bit, and because he doesn't do a ton of painting shows, when the Los Angeles artist does make a show of work, we are always excited and can't wait to see it. It Looks Like It Says will be open at Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC on September 10—October 10, 2015, and will feature McFetridge's now iconic and signature style, these simplistic but cleverly concepted ideas of everyday life.

Most galleries like to pull off a good group show for the summer, and Joshua Liner Gallery has put together a solid one with "Summer Mixer 2015," featuring a group of artists we have really had our eye on recently. Of course, Mars-1 who has been on the cover of the magazine you may already know, but we love the direction Eric Shaw, Libby Black, Elise Ferguson, Kristen Schiele, and the others in this show have been going. Take a look at the gallery for some of our favorites in the Mixer that will be open now through August 21, 2015.

We are excited about this one, as the show has a lot of our friends and artists we admire at the moment. Joshua Liner Gallery presents All Types of Characters, a group exhibition curated by arts and culture digest The World’s Best Ever. Showcasing over thirty contemporary artists based in Canada, Denmark, and The United States, the exhibition highlights the presence of characters in each artists’ work and their function as a means to explore identity and ideas of beauty as a social commentary. All Types of Characters will open with a reception on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

This evening, February 19th, 2015 Joshua Liner Gallery will present Weird Attic, an exhibition of new paintings by Los Angeles-based artist Britton Tolliver. This is the artist's first exhibition with the gallery, and will highlight the breadth of Tolliver's personal brand of abstraction, his investigative approach to geometry, and his curiosity about the sculptural and textural potential of acrylic paint.

This Thursday, February 19th, Joshua Liner Gallery will be presenting S W I R L, an exhibition of new watercolor works on paper by San Francisco-based artist Serena Mitnik-Miller. With not much more than a faint pencil guide by the artist’s own hand, Mitnik-Miller’s use of pattern and repetition is a core element explored in the artist’s latest series.

We stopped by Miami Project last night for their opening, and ran into a bunch of old friends along the way. Most importantly, we saw some great works in the Joshua Liner booth with Geoff McFetridge, Andrew Schoultz, Sam Friedman and Evan Hecox, Eleanor Harwood's booth with Paul Wackers, Driscoll Babcock's booth with Jenny Morgan, and some great new works from Greg "SP.One" Lamarche.
