Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC is set to open 3 new shows at their NYC space this Saturday, May 18: Souther Salazar's Souvenirs, Marco Mazzoni's Animaera,  and Andy Kehoe's Luminous Reverie. Guess what? These are all artists we want to see and endorse, and they have been in the magazine, most recently Mr. Mazzoni. The shows are on display through June 15, 2013. 

Jonathan LeVine Gallery invited our colleagues at Juxtapoz Latin America to have a close talk with the street artist WK Interact in the pop-up space they created to celebrate the artist’s 25 years retrospective. The exhibition 360, held an extensive collection of objects, photographs, installation and canvases.

Opening last night,Jonathan LeVine Gallery opened Thursday’s Girl, a series of new works on canvas by Southern California-based artist Josh Agle (Shag), in what is his fourth solo exhibition at the gallery. The former Juxtapoz cover artist will have his show open through May 4, 2013. The show was inspired by the Velve Underground and the landmark song, "All Tomorrow's Parties."

Last night during Armory week in NYC, we attended a preview of WK Interact's 360 at Jonathan LeVine Gallery's 557 West 23rd Street pop-up space. Exhibited as a mid-career survey of WK's work, celebrating the last 25 years of the artist's career, the show is complete look at the range of the French-born, NYC-based artist.

Jonathan LeVine Gallery is pleased to announce 360, a series of works by French-born, New York-based artist WK, in what will be his second solo exhibition with the gallery, presented in a temporary space located at: 557 West 23rd Street. 360 is a mid-career survey of WK's work, celebrating the last 25 years of the artist's career. The exhibition includes series of works on cardboard, paper and panels, as well as large multi-paneled collages, all rendered in WK's signature stark palette.

Jonathan LeVine Gallery is pleased to present The End Is Far, a series of new works, a site-specific installation and live performance by Polish-born, New York-based artist Olek, in what will be her second solo exhibition at the gallery. Known for her bold work and vivacious persona, Olek’s ever-expanding interventions involve covering a multitude of people and objects in camouflage-patterned crochet including: bicycles, cars, shopping carts, construction vehicles and prominent public art sculptures such as Wall Street’s Charging Bull; Alamo (Astor Place cube) and Gato de Botero in Barcelona.

Amsterdam-based Parra, a former Juxtapoz cover artist who will also be featured in our upcoming April 2013 issue, is set to open Tracy Had A Hard Sunday, a group of new paintings at Jonathan LeVine Gallery opening on February 23, 2013. The show will be the Dutch artist's first in NYC since 2006.

The talented artists are presenting an impressive collection of works and on-site installations that expands their universe into the physical space.

We had the pleasure of attending Haroshi’s second solo show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The Tokio-based Japanese artist titled his new series of sculptures Virtual Reality, making reference to the classic 1993 skate video from Plan B, example of one of the most experimental and progressive eras in skateboarding. As you may have already known, Haroshi has made an impression on the art world in recent years for his recycled skateboard sculptures. The Japanese artist is set to open a new solo show, Virtual Reality, at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC on Saturday, January 12. The repetition of skating, the craft of perfecting the right trick, comes out in the methodical arrangement of the plywood decks into recognizable characters and shapes.
