So many good things happening with this new Rime piece. It might be “Blowing up” but it’s a “Blow Out” as well.

Over the past year, Juxtapoz and Converse have teamed on a unique project, Wall to Wall, where we invite an artist in a city in North America to create a semi-permanent mural based around the artist's interpretation of the iconic Converse star. Today, we look back on the mural created in Brooklyn, our second there, by former Juxtapoz feature artist Jersey Joe. The piece was featured on the back of our January 2013 issue.

Using arrest sheets found in a Detroit abandoned police station as his canvases, Jersey Joe aka Rime, had created a series of works that will now be available as prints through 1xRUN. Starting tomorrow, two separate limited editions will be available for purchase. There is also bonus video that was made in conjunction with this release that is highly entertaining.

It is no secret Rime can doodle some pretty hilarious characters, especially when it comes to the female kind (5 boobed ladies? Yes, please.). Here’s a little preview of a drawing for an upcoming project he has with 1XRUN.

Rime’s “graffiti advertisement” is seen here on a box truck at the base of this ski resort in Colorado. The snowman got the bum deal here getting pelted with a snowball.

In part of the Converse Wall to Wall Project, Jersey Joe aka Rime was enlisted to paint the side of the iconic New Apollo restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This video gives insight into Jersey Joe’s background and process with his artistic practice.

The question is, was Rime aka Jersey Joe ever a toy? As far back as we can remember this guy has been stylin on everything.This could have been painted today and still be on par, if not better than what's getting painted these days.

Although there are a few explicit sexual acts going down in this painting, it still has a very child like feeling.  Place a crib in front of this and call it a day.  Jersey Joe’s contribution to a recent show at 1 AM gallery in San Francisco.
