On November 7, Jay will open a solo show at FFDG in SF. Here is what they have to say about him:  Jay Howell is a creator of the great cartoon Sanjay and Craig and created the characters for Bob's Burgers. . . . .

'Space Cadet,' the awesome collaboration between Flume, Ghostface Killah, and Autre Ne Veut, gets animated in this trippy mind- (and planet) melting video by Jay Howell and Jim Dirschberger. Intergalactic dance party - need we say more? Howell and Dirschberger work together on the Nickelodeon show Sanjay and Craig.

While we were down in Austin during SXSW for Juxtapoz Projects, we were able to spend some time with our friends at Vans and check out what they had going on over at Vans Village, a pop-up store featuring exclusive merchandise and collaborations, competitive BMX Ramp and daily Open Mic sessions. We were most excited to learn that Vans brought out our mutual friends and artists Jay Howell, Rich Jacobs, Zio Ziegler, and Smithe to paint shipping containers and the actual store itself! Enjoy a photo recap...

Jay Howell's Book Covers

Illustration // Thursday, September 20, 2012
Whenever I'm in the mood for stacks of scantily clad party rockers, ware-wolves, motorcycle gangs, booze hounds, floozies, house parties, block parties, romance, lust, adventure or just a bunch of dudes hanging out, I turn to the work of Los Angeles based artist and illustrator, Jay Howell. His work has graced the pages of countless book pages, cartoons and animations, there's no slowing down this Night Train.
