This Friday evening, July 27, Double Break in San Diego will be opening its new group show curated by Ryan Travis Christian. The show, titled Where My Cones At?, is definitely worth a visit, featuring Juxtapoz's cover artists Eric Yahnker and Andrew Schoultz, as well as other artists featured in the magazine like Jason Jagel. Double Break's walls will be jam-packed with artwork from many esteemed artists whose work will also be available in Double Break's online store.

When SF-based visual artist Jason Jagel spent the night on the oversized chair at the Stones Throw house back in 2002 the same night Madlib crashed on the couch directly across from him, Jagel knew right away he had stumbled across a unique individual. “I remember Madlib mumbling in his sleep, sounding uncannily, but not surprisingly like his music,” remarks Jagel.

FIFTY24SF Gallery had two booths at the SF Fine Art Fair this past weekend in San Francisco, and they curated two legends of graffiti and stickers, MQ and PEZ, to create an installation wall and paint a van in front of the Fort Mason Center in SF.

Besides being a talented fine artist based in San Francisco, Jason Jagel has built a dedicated body of work creating imagery surrounding underground hip-hop icons, Madlib and MF Doom. The latter work has found its way in a deluxe reissue of the classic MF Doom album Operation Doomsday. . .

San Francisco's Southern Exposure will be hosting their 11th Annual Monster Drawing Rally this Friday night (Feb 25th), with 130+ artists set to participate. As Southern Exposure explains it, "The evening will consist of four one-hour shifts that each feature approximately 30 artists drawing simultaneously." More information after the jump . . .
