Day 8 of the Sparks IGNITE WHAT'S NEXT art tour was held in San Francisco, CA. For the day event, Dave Choe, Saber, and Retna did a live painting installation at Upper Playground on Fillmore. One woman was there to get Saber to sign a shirt she bought her nephew and decided to really go for it and have Dave Choe sign the shirt she was wearing too. The evening event was held at 111 Minna in conjunction with the Juxtapoz Get Exposed party. The place was packed with a line around the building. Day 7: Berkeley hosts Sparks IGNITE WHAT'S NEXT

Juxtapoz // Sunday, September 16, 2007
One week into the tour and counting, the artists dig into their reserves to pull off another successful day of painting. Day seven of the Sparks IGNITE WHAT'S NEXT art tour took Saber, Dave Choe and Retna to the grand opening of the Upper Playground Berkeley store on Telegraph Ave. The guys signed the usual books and shirts but switched things up a bit for several willing ladies who wanted Saber to sign their stomachs. We wonder how long that will take to wash off? Fans came out for the evening event held at the Radio bar in Oakland. After this, it's on to San Jose for the tour's last Bay Area stop Sunday, September 16th for a day event at Workmens on Eastridge Loop. Click to see photos and video from the Berkeley event with guest artist Retna and details on upcoming stops on the Sparks IGNITE WHAT'S NEXT art tour.
