The Fall season is upon on us, and we are about to release our November 2013 issue with a very special story on a publishing house with a penchant for old-school pulp illustrations and print! Hard Case Crime is the cover story this month, a publisher of hardboiled crime fiction that emphasizes the use of an old style pulp art by hiring some of the best illustrators in the genre to do their covers. Aside from being an exceptionally talented photographer, San Jose resident Jai Tanju is also the owner of Seeing Things Gallery and Commander-in-Chief of the print exchange program, Film Por Vida. When he’s not on tour with your favorite pro skateboards, he can be found making awesome zines and taking frequent trips to the local Post Office. Tomorrow, in conjunction with Vans, Jai will be showing new photographs with the release of a new zine at the PacSun pop-up shop in New York.
