Jacques Floret is a French illustrator. His use of flattened color is done well. Each scene is a stylized and simplified snapshot from reality. Many of the works capture inherently French scenery with anything from Parisian cafe life to French-flag face paint. Other works seem to be the artist's own humorous commentary, as with the fish wielding, bikini-clad female. Simple renderings, pleasant hues, and a bit of a chuckle are all helpful things on a Tuesday morning. Enjoy.
