Let there be.... GWAR!!! We close out the calendar year with an in-depth feature on the visual history of rock's most disgusting, offensive, and inventive performance art group, Gwar. We take a look at the stage set-up's, poster art, zines, costumes, and music that inspired not only a cult-following, but a decades long commitment to keeping things bloody and grotesque.

Juxtapoz is very excited to have back our longtime collaborator and NYC-based designer, artist, and creative director, Kimou "Grotesk" Meyer to create a special cover for the November 2015 issue. From creating the visual identity for sports teams and brands, to new watercolor works and wooden sculptural pieces, Grotesk has been extremely busy and we have caught him at a great time to talk about his new direction.

We are proud to kick off the Fall season with a cover story on San Francisco-based fine artist Richard Colman. Richard's work has evolved and expanded so much since we last spoke to him in 2010, and his newest body of work continues to be an exploration on the way we as humans communicate and interact. We spent a few weeks with Richard in his studio in SF as well as around the city he calls home to catch a glimpse at the intricate details of the working artist's life.

Juxtapoz is very excited this month to have one of our favorite painters, the great Seattle-based artist Mary Iverson on the cover of August 2015. Although perhaps not overtly political, the August 2015 issue is our look at some of the best artists in the world's approach to environmental issues. From climate change to extinction, using Earth materials to challenging conventional means of production, we gathered an eclectic group of artists that are inspiring and progressive.

We kick off the summer months with some bright lights and bold nights with June 2015 cover artist, Ryan McGinness. The NYC-based artist has his hands in a little bit of everything these days; installation, painting, Instagram-projects, murals, parties, museum shows... he is all over the place with imaginative and conceptual fine art. Carlo McCormick writes our cover story this month and finds meaning in McGinness's world of symbols

The May 2015 cover story feels like a long time coming. A half-decade even, but it was worth it. Chris Ware is not only a cult-followed comic book artist who has transformed the genre with some of the most intricate, progressive storytelling styles we have ever seen. It started with the Acme Novelty Library series, to the graphic novels Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth and recently grew to the incredible Building Stories graphic novel. This is what we want to document this month; a true American storyteller.

There are very few figures of the last 25 years that can cross the barriers of pop, underground, and progressive art quite like Bjork. She has transformed the way we look at music, video art, stage performances, and overall artistic persona unlike any artist we can think of. In conjunction with the opening of her special retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art, the April 2015 cover is a celebration of the past, present, and future of Bjork.

This one is special. Not only do we get to celebrate the opening of "20 Years Under the Influence of Juxtapoz", but we get to honor the opening of new works by our founder, Robert Williams, at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. The March 2015 issue features a collection of the new paintings by Williams, as well as a sit down interview with famed international art curator, Jeffrey Deitch.

To officially kick off the new year, we are proud to announce the February 2015 issue with cover artist Sage Vaughn. The Los Angeles-based Vaughn has long been a friend of the magazine, and with his upcoming exhibition at Judith Charles in NYC coming up this Spring, it was time to sit down and talk to artist about the new transformations in his work. That's right, we are taking a walk into the Garden.
