She was educated at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where she received her Bachelors in illustration.  She has an almost cubist approach to her paintings, although completely representational, she presents multifaceted subjects with her ghastly, layered forms and an overlay of emotional regard.

Brazilian duo, Mulheres Barbadas, are a pair of self-taught designers from Sao Paulo with the capacity to fill a room, cover the walls, the furniature, the floor, with their humorously grotesque and amazingly detailed illustrations. 'We are two bearded ladies working together. We take turns drawing until we either fill up the canvas (or are too tired to go on, whichever comes first). We like monsters, icky stuff and tender love.'
