South Korean artist Hajin Bae is an illustrator, graphic designer and art director based in Seoul. Bae likes to illustrate lovely young women in full technicolor. Her most recent project has been a collaboration with fashion photographer Bryant Eslava entited "BryJin" - fusing Eslava's photographs with Bae's illustrations to produce animated fashion illustration gifs.

Lluis Fuzzhound's "Marooned on Watango Island"

Fresh from the mind of Australian painter, illustrator and animator Lluis Fuzzhound comes a new animated short called "Marooned on Watango Island." Fuzzhound grew up eating Cocoa Pops and watching cartoons everyday afterschool and it shows. His short is a wonderful throwback to the old Cartoon Modern style, complete with jazz, tiki and good old-fashioned desert island hijinks.

Fajari's universe is occupied by a cast of masked characters who struggle to connect with one another. “I am trying to provoke the same kind of feeling you get when you walk through sludge, with mud in your eyes, clawing your way into mountains, swimming with a sea of ants. I appreciate gravity. It keeps me here on earth.”

Everyone has their vision of the end of the world, the apocalypse, when nature, aliens, or war catches up to us. Some think it will be a bomb, some think global climate change, I think that British boy band The Wanted. Russian digitial artist creates his "life after the apocalypse" illustrations with Photoshop and 3DMax, and they are stunning to behold, even if we hope he is wrong.

In between showing his art from coast to coast or working with an assortment of clients, Pat travels as much as possible. Although he is happy to be able to speak and have an audience through his artwork, he does his best everyday to listen and learn from the world he lives in.

The Incredible World of Animated GIF's

One thing that will never fails to overcome me, is the mind bending power of a good illustrated animated GIF, or any GIF for that matter. In their mere 1-3 seconds, they hypnotize me to the point that I probably end up watching the short segments 100 times, creating my own, perfect little full length feature film of repetitive excitement.
