Geometric Snow by Simon Beck

Juxtapoz // Monday, January 14, 2013
We are loving the geometric snow illustrations created by Simon Beck's larger than life process of walking across the snow in raquettes (snowshoes) for up to 10 hours at a time! Talking about his process, he says, 'Most of this activity takes place in the ski resort of Les Arcs, where I own an apartment and spend most of the winter. On average they take about 10 hours to really do it properly, some are a little unfinished, if my feet get cold or hurt too much...'

Loving the new darkness, Sin is in.

Mark Landis - Father Philanthropy

Illustration // Friday, January 11, 2013
'Standing next to 57-year-old Mississippi native Mark Landis in the watercolors aisle of a local art store, the words “master art forger” are the least likely to come to mind. Bald, stooped, and slight of voice, Landis looks more the part of a paint-by-the-numbers hobbyist. And yet for the better part of thirty years, this unassuming figure managed to dupe nearly fifty art institutions in over twenty states into accepting forged art works. Many still don’t know they’ve been tricked...'
