Nick Simon's Graphite Illustrations

Illustration // Friday, January 25, 2013
Nick Simon's graphite illustrations involve geometric patterns and studies of owls, elements in the animal kingdom and the occasional skull. Rendered with such delicate intricacy, it's surprising that this is all of the information I could gather from the vastness of the Internet about Nick Simon and his work, though his originals are still available in his online store. Zing!

Adam 'Lilfuchs' Fuchs is the brains behind this epic 'Flying Lotus - Zodiac Sh*t' animation that was created for Adult Swim. He performs feats that delight and astound, and as animation director at Turner Studios, he has chased wild scribbles through the badlands of television, inked epic doodles over mountains of print and apparel, and has driven herds of untamed mental concoctions into the Lands of Milk and Approval. He is based in Atlanta, GA.

Marija Tiurina's Egg Soldier

Illustration // Thursday, January 24, 2013
Mayke its a UK thing, but I'm not quite sure I know what an 'egg soldier' is. I do know that I'm loving this variation of Marija Tiurina's egg soldier and her process of illustrating it. On finding inspiration, she states, "Usually there are everyday situations that can make me think and analyse, come up with ideas. Anything can be inspiring, from a cute or touching thing spotted on a street, or from a  new was of mixing two colours together."

The Work of Menze Kwint

Awesome reader submission today from a certain Menze Kwint, a talented artist and illustrator out in the Netherlands. Drawn with Indian ink pens initially and colored digitally, Menze has developed a refined, signature illustration style that we felt deserved recognition! Great work Menze, enjoy!
