For our last June post on our featured topic, we hope you enjoy this intriguing animated fashion editorial, illustrated and directed by Amsterdam-based art director and illustrator Tara Dougans. Spanning the styles of multiple European designers, "Beware of a Man's Shadow," inspired by the Burmese proverb "beware of a man's shadow and a bee's sting," is a collection of pencil works featuring seven of the 2012 season's most playful menswear pieces, juxtaposing the subtle stoicism of menswear imagery with a cheeky animated wink.

These uncanny vignettes are ones we encounter daily as  we walk down the street catching glimpses of the urban landscape reconfigured, but isolated in Nieminen's paintings the effect is at once familiar and alienating.
