One of our favorite street artists, Valencia, Spain-based Hyuro, has completed a mural in Copenhagen, Denmark in conjunction with her solo show at ArtRebels from May 24th through June 15, 2013. In/Between will feature 17 original drawings highlighting Hyuro's interest in human interiority and the female body, often in relation to animals and natural elements. The exhibition is a subtle reflection on identity and freedom, both individually and collective. The items exhibited are all paper drawings of artworks that Hyuro has created as street pieces all over the world. All photography and information from our friend, Henrik Haven. 

In a series of simplistic images painted by Spanish artist, Hyuro, a woman is interacting in various ways with a folding chair. This piece titled  “L´Attesa” which translates to “The Wait” in English was painted in conjunction with the Memorie Urbane Festival in Gaeta, Italy.

Participating in the Memorie Urbane Festival in Terracina, Italy, Spanish artist, Hyuro, painted the following mural entitled “Cycles.” In a series of 10 strong images, the artist brilliantly depicts the life cycle from birth to death. Be sure to view the drawing for this wall and its details.

We would expect more collaborations between artists, Escif and Hyuro, solely based on their similar styles and both being in Valencia, Spain, however that’s not the case. Occasionally they do work together and when they do they compliment each other well. On this new wall, Hyuro used her talents to paint a number of wolfs while Escif created two identical classic-looking yellow cars.

  Hyuro’s imagery often depicts uncommon scenes that challenge stereotypes of women and social stigmas. This newest piece of a man and a women connected by a block of bricks was painted in her hometown of Valencia, Spain. 

These women painted with watercolor on paper by Spanish artist, Hyuro, are balancing on stacked chairs, while working with linens. Women remain the artist’s main focus, often challenging their role as “house workers” and various other social stigmas.

    On this wall in Valencia, Spain, six women are seen balancing an assortment of plants on their heads and appear to all be wearing shorts. The work is easily recognizable, undoubtedly the handy work Spanish artist, Hyuro.

Hyuro’s newest piece is located in Cartagena, Spain, on a structure that appears to have been abandoned for a significant amount of time.  The artist painted a character in stretched out across two sawhorses, possibly sleeping or planking? Planking may be stretch.
