The Upside Down Helicopter Ceiling Fan

Juxtapoz // Friday, June 08, 2012
The fact that this fan had not been created already is shocking to us. What an idea, especially in a child's room. Not only can you have an upside down helicopter on your ceiling, but you can simulate a crash if you don't put it up correctly. We kid. It features four carbon fiber blades fixed with a 3-speed remote-controlled motor. Not for sale as of yet... but soon we are being told.

Chehad Abdallah's "Warzone Carpet”

Juxtapoz // Sunday, June 03, 2012
Some people practice the concept of carpet bombing (see Rumsfield), and others make a carpet that depicts bombing. Chehad Abadallah has created one of the most clever piece of home decor we have ever seen: the "Warzone Carpet." And to think, we were just looking for a plain 3' x 5' rug at Pottery Barn when we could of had this.

The Super Mario Bros Cutting Board

Juxtapoz // Sunday, May 27, 2012
Most of us are of the age where Super Mario Bros is not just a video game but a definition of youth, so if someone is offering a Super Mario Bros cutting board for all our vegetable cutting, we are interested. And somehow, at $110, we may be in fact justified to be back in 1987.

The Skull Chandelier by Kelly Lamb

Juxtapoz // Thursday, April 19, 2012
After seeing the spectacle that was Damien Hirst's For the Love of God at the Tate Modern in London this past week, we sort of have a new appreciation for a good skull. Kelly Lamb's Skull Chandelier, although a tad gaudy and a bit of a tough sell for our dining room, we definitely like the composition of it.

The Ballpoint Stool

Juxtapoz // Tuesday, April 10, 2012
If you happen to have a floor in which you can find a way to draw or doodle upon it, may we suggest the creation of Canada-based designer, Philippe Malouin, the Ballpoint Stool. With transparent design, and the ability to draw as you scoot, your daily doings can be a creative project.

Hand Blown Glass Vases by Fabio Novembre

Juxtapoz // Sunday, March 04, 2012
"Murana is the name of the mask I have designed for Venini: a volume to wear for filtering the reality through the glass of its surfaces, a face without sexual or racial connotations able to represent every kind of humanity, a soul for an object that could be casually perceived as a vase…"

Super Mario Bros Question Box Lamp

Juxtapoz // Friday, March 02, 2012
Who says you can't be a kid again? Here we have a custom made, touch sensitive Question Block Lamp inspired by the iconic Super Mario Bros Nintendo game. The lamp is 6 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches,  made of laser-cut plexiglass and lit from inside by energy-efficient LED. How does it work? Hit the bottom of the cube and you'll get both light and the classic coin noise.

Haze x Heineken Draught Glasses

Juxtapoz // Thursday, December 22, 2011
A nice package showed up in the main today: a limited edition pair of draught glasses from Heineken designed by the legendary Haze. We don't know about you, but we think it is good for people to have a nice pair of draught glasses in the home. For eggnog, orange juice, water, and the occasional Emergen-C concoction.

Amazing Book Shelf by Mebrure Oral

Juxtapoz // Sunday, December 18, 2011
We don't know about you, but we love to read and sometimes find it hard to get the time or motivation to sit with a good book (Murakami's 1Q84 has been a project). Turkish designer Mebrure Oral is helping motivate us with the Target Bookshelf.

The Nail Lamp by Ilias Ernst

Juxtapoz // Sunday, December 18, 2011
The technical name of Dutch designer Ilias Ernst's lamp is the Nail Cloud. The piece is a "customizable lamp that’s made up of nails and magnets," with each nail positioned around the light with the help of magnets. And each person can move the nails around for their own custom light look.
