Sam Friedman was just featured in our February 2015 issue of Juxtapoz, and we have been following his work for the past few years and loved his shows at Library Street Collective and Joshua Liner. The NYC-based artist just teamed up with the equally fantastic Belgian team Case Studyo on an home appropriate rug featuring one of Friedman's scenic paintings. The rug is made in an edition of 12.

I think I have the best chair, but the butt is a little big on it and I slide around. Maybe we should investigate getting the new Krink x Modernica Fiberglass Side-Shell chair, with a subtle shine in classic Krink silver. This incense burner called ‘Vibes melt down 2043’ will enhance your office, home, maybe even a public place. It’s meant to stimulate the mind and evoke the hallucinatory and enlightening moments that are around us at all times through life and death.

I am going to kick myself for the rest of the year on this one. At the LA Art Book Fair, presented by Printed Matter, a few weeks back, we really wanted to buy The Thing Quarerly's Issue n22, featuring a Jux-favorite, John Baldessari. The best part? The Issue came with two standard, Baldessari designed pillowcases. As The Thing notes, "this issue has been designed with the intention that one will sleep with it… or on it." We love print, too.

Maybe you noticed that we covered Grotesk and the design agency he is part of, Doubleday & Cartwright, in the November 2013 print edition of Juxtapoz. We have also, in the past, shown you the former cover artist's awesome “6ft 6in” Lamp made in conjunction with Case Studyo. The past colorway was in the traditional Chicago Bulls red/black, and today, Case Studyo and Grotesk release the new "Black & Royal Blue edition" for collectors of all things Michael Jordan and the Nike Air Jordan 1.
